Description
Purchase College seeks a student-centered, forward thinking Registrar to join the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management team. Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs, the Registrar provides critical leadership and oversight of the maintenance and integrity of student academic records and data, student registration, oversight of the course schedules, grades, compliance with FERPA, and SUNY, state and federal reporting requirements. The Registrar also establishes and maintains processes and procedures for the area and college that are equitable and consistent in application and administration as related to academic records, registration, grading, course scheduling and degree requirements.
The Registrar must be a strong, collaborative leader in order to work across the areas of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Institutional Research, Technology Services, Continuing Education and other areas as needed. The Registrar makes appropriate decisions and/or recommendations to senior leadership regarding management and supervision of the area and is an important participant in the development of departmental goals, visions, budget management, and policies. The Registrar serves as a senior member of the Student Affairs department leadership team and must align the office mission and goals with the academic goals and missions of the college.

- Familiarity with state and federal reporting and guidelines.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 – 7 years of progressive experience working in a Registrar’s Office or in Student Records and Registration.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail and data integrity
- Proven leadership and track record in creating student oriented services
- Experience with a student information system, preferably Banner.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Fluency in federal, state, local, and institutional policies that relate to academic records, institutional research and reporting, and institutional accreditation
- Experience in writing and running reports using Argos or other report writing systems
