What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Trainer position at Puritan Medical Products LP?
Job Summary: A lead trainer will increase productivity of employees by ensuring that all employees demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for their position at Puritan.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Helps with training and support of new hires, for employees in new roles and/or with a new assignment.
- Assesses participants learning performance; identifies need for additional, specialized, or adaptive instruction.
- Engage in coaching and mentoring during the production process to ensure that standard procedures are followed and to improve employee performance.
- Ensure ISO 13485 (Manufacture of Medical Devices) standard operating procedures are followed.
- Maintains records of completed trainings.
- Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work processes verifying that SOPs are being followed on production floor.
- Reports problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
- Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the Puritan’s Quality System.
- Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate machine manufacturing functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in training preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13485 requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodology.
- Ability to identify training needs of production staff through observations and experience
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift 50 lbs. and regularly lift to 30lbs, handle tasks involving frequent bending, twisting, lifting, squatting, walking, and standing.
- Must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
