Position Description:  

The Inventory Control Specialist has the primary responsibility of maintaining and increasing company profitability by maintaining accurate shipping data, case management, vendor communications, and inventory.   This position reports directly to the Service Delivery Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the employees.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for sales personnel on product concerns.
  • Monitor case management levels to ensure quick response and solutions.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure all issues with shipments or SN are correctly logged and updated in Salesforce.
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.
  • Responsible for maintaining all RTR/RMA shipments and records.
  • Monitor data to ensure proper inventory levels for completion of RTR/RMA cases.
  • Work with 3rd party on equipment repair status and proper logging in Navison of assets.
  • Responsible for 3rd party on-site inventory of Z/P assets.
  • Identifies and optimizes everyday inventory items.
  • Runs aging reporting weekly, analyze, and appropriately log in Navision.
  • Confirmed inventory receipts and verified data with the inventory database.
  • Monitor inventory levels for all assets and report to procurement for replenishment.
  • Ensures that new and refurbed inventory counts are completed regularly and promptly.
  • Files/Reports defective products to procurement to determine if products are under warranty.
  • Works/leads fellow employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
  • Educate team on how and where to return defective goods.
  • Posting daily, check for any errors and correct if necessary.
  • Performs cycle counts monthly and reports date to Service Delivery Manager.
  • Performs 4 wall physical inventory quarterly and reports data to Service Delivery Manager
  • Runs all monthly reporting out of Navision and Sales force, reports data to Director of Service Delivery.
  • Responsible for receiving new products and updating inventory promptly.
  • Keeps inventory cages organized and clearly labelled.
  • Communicates with procurement for documentation upon receiving.
  • Works with other teams, including sales, tech support, CET, shipping, and procurement.
  • Process customer and internal orders when needed.
  • Work on cases assigned to Service Delivery.
  • Configuring assets in preparation for customer use.
  • Submit orders for marketing supplies, packing supplies/material, and technical team supply orders when needed.
  • Adhere to all security practices and procedures to safeguard company resources.
  • Ensure safety protocols are always adhered to.
  • Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties assigned by the Service Delivery Manager.

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2 years of service delivery and/or supply chain experience.
  • 2 years of inventory experience using inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
  • Shows the ability to work well under pressure, such as when inventory deliveries or shipments become late or forgotten.
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
