Job TITLE: Manager, Sales Finance
Job DESCRIPTION:
The Manager, Sales Finance will be responsible for reporting retail customer sales activity and analyzing retail customer profitability. This position is responsible for providing analytical support to executive-level management on impacts to gross profit margin from changes in business trends, pricing initiatives, consumer trade promotions and allowance programs as well as customer and product mix. Analyze the impact product cost and mix changes have on the overall profitability of each business segment and the overall company. Review customer trade promotion and allowance programs as well as historical pricing and analyze customer growth/profitability impacted by these sales initiatives.
Job RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play a key role in customer sales forecasting and analysis.
- Assist the SVP Sales and key sales personnel in understanding customer profitability and true cost to serve customers
- Manage consumer trade promotion and customer sales allowance spending
- Evaluate effectiveness of trade promotion programs by calculating return on customer investment (ROI)
- Analyze customer pricing/profit margins and recommend enhancements to current customer/channel pricing
- Track penetration and effectiveness of customer pricing initiatives including any lost sales
- Prepare quarterly customer P&Ls reflecting sales, gross profit and contribution margin and review with sales leadership team
- Prepare profitability analysis of new customer proposals
- Other ad-hoc analysis/projects

Knowledge, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Expansive knowledge of customer sales, pricing and gross profit analysis
- Ability to work with customer sales and profitability analysis in the consumer products industry
- Working knowledge of consumer trade programs and sales allowances.
- Strong leadership skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and highly effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to proactively generate innovative ideas and lead process improvements
- Ability to work and interact with senior management and various departments throughout the organization
- Ability to work independently and do what is necessary to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
EXPERIENCE:
- 7 years of solid financial and business analysis experience
- Experience in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG) company preferred
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting up to 50% of the time.
- Constantly operating computers and office equipment.

Travel required: Approximately 10%

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
