Pyles and Associates, LLC behavioral respite service provides support and relief to the families and caregivers of children and adults with developmental disabilities. We value maintaining the dignity and respect of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Behavioral respite intends to allow individuals with a disability and with behavior challenges to be safely supported in their home while promoting a better quality of life for the whole family. This service also focuses on implementing behavioral support plans in place for the individual to increase functional skills, address behavioral excesses, and teach necessary replacement behaviors.
As a Direct Care Staff with Pyles and Associates, LLC, you will be trained to provide direct care services to children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Compensation: $18/hour-$22/hour
- Overnight and weekend shift differential: add $1/hour.
Job Description
- Provide direct services in the home/residence under the support and supervision of the Clinical Director and Case Manager
- Build and maintain rapport with clients and their families to promote ongoing learning and an effective professional relationship
- Implement behavior strategies outlined in client’s behavior support plan
- Collect behavior and skills data accurately.
- Attend team meetings as scheduled
- Assist clients in day-to-day activities (e.g., meal prep, grooming, cleaning, etc.)
- Provide direct care to the client to increase daily living skills, cognitive development, socialization, and behavior management
- Performs other duties as assigned reasonably within the scope of a Direct Care Staff

*Over 20 Billable hours/week and after 90 days.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must legally be authorized to work in the United States
- Possess a California driver’s license and have proof of automobile insurance
- Must provide verification of negative TB test and criminal background check
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to perform basic housekeeping tasks, prepare meals, etc.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus (If not certified, must train for, and receive certification within 6 months of hire).
- CPR/First Aid preferred ( If not certified, we would need you to be certified following hire (prior to providing services)
- Bilingual skills are a plus!
