Shift Production Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Operator to work on 2nd Shift.

An individual in this role will:

• Produce high quality products according to customer need and specification.
• Help improve manufacturing techniques in a cost effective, economical way while not sacrificing product quality
• Promote a safe work environment by following the regulations and guidelines currently enforced

Job Duties:

• Train on production equipment and operate accordingly
• Multitask by performing production and packaging of materials, off-loading of trucks, and housekeeping of plant facilities
• Utilize work instructions to make products and follow written procedures
• Ensure packages and products are properly labeled and clean
• Follow safety rules, identify any safety hazards, and wear appropriate PPE
• Find ways to improve process and help make manufacturing improvements
• Operate fork lift trucks as needed
• Work with minimal supervision, safely and productively

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Industrial manufacturing experience
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs
• Chemical production experience preferred
• Prefer experience operating a fork truck

Additional Info:

• Want someone who has experience working with their hands as a hands on worker
• Do not need chemical or lab experience
• Work with valves and pipes. Prefer someone who understands how they work and go together.
• Need to be able to take direction, read and follow instruction
• Can work with minimal supervision and have the ability to think on their feet
• Prefer someone who knows how to drive a forklift
• Will be a Union position, which they join after 30 days
• Will be 2nd shift for the foreseeable future. Will do some training on 1st shift to start but then all on 2nd shift.
• 2nd Shift hours are (3PM-11PM), M-F
• Overtime is available 1/3 of the time during the week
• Will take PI test

• Must be fully vaccinated or be in the process of getting vaccinated (i.e. first shot taken, getting second shot soon) to be hired and work there

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
