Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, data trending, and equipment manuals
- Fabricate fixtures or parts using lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards at all times
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems, including limit switches, proximity switches, photo-electric sensors, solenoid valves, PLC I/O modules, and servo
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; or 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience on PLC programming, machining, and sensors and mechanical installations
- Experience in reading and interpreting PLC programs, ability to make minor program changes
- Industrial electrical and/or mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience running equipment such as lathe, milling machine, and drill press
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and design drawings
- Ability to write reports, email, and test procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from engineers and managers
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical deviation, tolerance analysis, and geometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations
- Knowledge of arithmetic, basic algebra, and basic geometry
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software to write reports and record data
