Position Title: Inspector – 1st Shift
Wage: $23.00 /hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm

- Compute angles, radii and other unspecified dimensions of workpiece using algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Read blueprints and determine inspection methods
- Measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearance, thread lead, and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauge, level protractors and optical comparators
- Inspect first and final article of parts and assemblies
- Program, operate, maintain, manage files and administer CNC Coordinate Measuring machines
- Examine defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommend changes or modifications
- Administer inspection calibration and recall program
- Report inspection and testing results
- Manage statistical functions when requested by supervisor
- At least two years of experience in a quality control and inspection function
- At least two years of formal education in quality control and inspection techniques, or Certified Mechanical Inspector status
- At least two years of experience programming and operating CNC Coordinate Measuring (CMM) machines
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
