Wage: $22.00/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 10 Hour Shift (Monday - Thursday)

Welder Responsibilities:
- Maintain welding equipment and make adjustments on equipment to prepare it to weld different parts or subassemblies
- Perform welding operations following blueprints and weld symbols
- Moves parts manually, by hoist or overhead crane and secure piece in weld fixture or table using clamps and wrenches
- Maintain production quantities, efficiencies and quality on parts welded
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Prepare surfaces to be welded and work with blueprints to verify accuracy of pre-assembled metal components to be welded
- Perform quality control inspections and clean welded components
- Perform simple measurements using devices or gauges to check work
- Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, cable slings, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
Requirements for Welder:
- Welding technology certificate of similar technical college education preferred
- At least one year of previous welding experience in a metal manufacturing production environment
- Knowledge of basic procedures of MIG welding.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic procedures of voltage and amperage
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their applications
- Skilled in the operation of grinders and deburring equipment.
- Able to run 1/2-inch fillet welds
- Able to perform standard measurements using a tape measure and other measurement devices
- Able to read and interpret blueprints with weld symbols and specifications
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Good communication skills
