Overview
The Information Technology Project Management Office (IT PMO) has an opening for a Scrum Master II, This position is located in Costa Mesa, California.
The role is responsible for planning, and execution of initiatives and projects for the respective business partners. Scrum Master role plans, manages, and tracks the required work and budget for the execution of projects. The Project Manager/Scrum Master will work closely with the IT Directors/Sr. Managers and lead a distributed team across multiple locations. This role will also work directly with business stakeholders based across the globe
The Scrum Master is responsible for Organizing, supporting, enabling, and facilitating a highly talented cross-functional agile team to deliver IT solutions. Work with, Product owners, and executives. Advises on general requirements and trends of Agile techniques and methods. Obtains relevant information to solve problems. Identifies conflicting priorities, and frames and escalates issues that cannot be resolved quickly.
Base Pay Range 89,000 - 130,000
The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. Responsibilities
- Hands-on management and delivery of multiple complex projects at any given time to meet technology and business requirements on time and within budget
- Organize and facilitate Agile activities and ceremonies including daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and product backlog refinement sessions
- Providing Scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies, team capacity, velocity forecasts, burndowns/burn-ups, dashboards, user stories, etc.
- Provide strong leadership & accountability for the development and delivery of Project Management needed to support business solutions, technical delivery, escalations, and impact assessment
- Ability to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, ability to be a voice of reason and authority, and make the tough calls.
- Participate in tactical/strategic planning surrounding cross-portfolio programs
- Foster a strong work environment that rewards individual and team efforts; encourages creativity while maintaining high-caliber productivity and quality; mitigates team conflict and communication problems
- Refine and improve existing Project Management and Agile best practices, including the adoption of industry-standard tools, technologies, and methodologies
Qualifications
- At least 6 years as a Project Manager/Scrum Master for software development projects with demonstrated evidence of increasing growth and responsibility
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience implementing, and running projects using Agile Scrum
- Strong skills in project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning and assessment, financial planning and risk assessment
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a complete integrated project plan/schedule for IT, business, and vendor
- Strong ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and counsel team members and Users
- Previous experience managing and deploying SalesForce applications will be considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of Project Management Methodology and Agile Scrum, tools and techniques
- Proficient in using core PM tools including Asure DevOps, Microsoft Sharepoint, and Microsoft Office Professional (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
