What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ground position at Quad Cities River Bandits (Grounds Assistant)?
Grounds Assistant :
The River Bandits Grounds Assistant will assist with the maintenance of the landscape, grounds, and the athletic field at Modern Woodmen Park.
Responsibilities Include :
- Execute daily maintenance plans on property including, but not limited to mowing, field renovation and cultural practices, field layout and painting, tarp, irrigation repairs.
- Perform cultural practices including trimming, pruning, weeding, edging on berms and surrounding grounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
Associate degree or Certificate in Turf, Horticulture, Agriculture, or equivalent from an accredited program; or two (2) years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of turf, landscape, computerized irrigation systems, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance, field layout, painting techniques, snow removal equipment and procedures.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and remain standing / walking / bending over 50% of the workday.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must work flexible and extended hours including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to work closely with all members of the organization, with high level commitment required.
