This position will provide support to our OH practices. Frequent travel will be required.
This position functions in a variety of capacities throughout the human resources department. Participate in recruiting to identify and select potential candidates for practice open positions; help oversee the training of new hires in collaboration with the practice managers and Director of Operations; may assist in developing benefits packages, handles employee relations issues including hotline or other complaint investigations; maintaining succession plans and enforcing company-wide policies with the ability to strengthen valuable skills like communication, public speaking and decision-making; ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with practice managers and Director of Operations to assess and analyze employment needs and participate in recruiting efforts to identify, interview, hire and train qualified candidates.
· Recruit and interview potential applicants on experience, skills and education.
· Update job descriptions as needed.
· Analyze industry-wide publications for benchmarking statistics to develop competitive compensation packages that accurately reflect each employee’s skillset, experience and day-to-day responsibilities.
· Explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education.
· Cover all legal compliance for human resource federal and state requirements.
· Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics like time to hire, employee turnover, etc.
· Ensure employee files in the practices are in proper and legal filing format.
· Ensures policies and procedures are being followed and provides clarification on subjects that may be misunderstood.
· Prepares and provides standard HR and ad hoc reports.
· Prepares termination and severance letters, as needed.
· Works with the practice managers on employee disciplinary issues including verbal conversations, corrective action write-ups, performance improvement plans, terminations, etc. Will be present during such conversations, if requested.
· Partners with respective and appropriate leaders with enhanced and ongoing employee engagement including action plans from employee survey results, exit interview, etc.
· Provides high quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
· Prepares termination and severance letters as needed.
· Educate and train all employees on organizational behaviors, policies and procedures to guarantee that understanding is affirmed and resources are not underutilized.
· Assists the practice managers in assessing employee performance and completing evaluations to help individuals identify strengths and weakness and to help practices maintain a team of professional, motivated and efficient workers.
· Represents employer in community and recruiting events as needed.
· Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company including employee safety, welfare benefits, 401k, wellness and health, and the payroll system.
· Assist in communicating company updates.
· Participates in audit and process improvement projects as needed.
· Assists the practice manager with UC hearing calls.
· Communicates with team members in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
· Treats staff, physicians, visitors and patients with dignity and respect.
· Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement.
· Participates in special projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
· Must be highly professional in appearance, tone and delivery and an effective communicator.
· Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.

· Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
· Knowledge of dermatology practice preferable.

· Must have good eyesight and ability to focus on a computer screen for 8 hours per day.
· Must be able to tolerate sitting and working at a desk for 8 hours per day.
· Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 10 lbs.). Frequent standing/walking. Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment. Manual dexterity and mobility. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or applicable field
· 3 years of human resources generalist experience
· Ability to type proficiently and work effectively with Microsoft Office Products.
· Experience with HRIS
