Position Summary

As a sales-oriented organization, Inside Sales Representatives serve as the foundation for ensuring the continued profitability, success, and growth of the company. The role will have direct contact with our customers as well as communication with all ASA branches and outside sales staff with a focus on maximizing revenue and profit. Inside Sales Representatives will primarily be responsible for speaking over the phone and via email on a variety of sales topics, including the negotiating of pricing. Inside Sales Representatives will also be involved in the updating of the ERP system to keep accurate inventory records. The Inside Sales Representative must provide exceptional priority service to all accounts to ensure maximum sales potential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of safety awareness & safety prioritization.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met, and champion quality ownership of the work center.
  • Receive customer phone calls; provide support on inquiries and concerns; follow up promptly by phone and/or email.
  • Discuss and negotiate pricing on customer orders.
  • Provide support to the outside sales team.
  • Enter sales orders into ERP system for order tracking and keeping accurate inventory records.
  • Expediting customer orders on time and ensuring accuracy.
  • Oversee and manage established accounts.
  • Monitoring inventory to ensure materials are available.
  • Sourcing products at sister branches and/or outside vendors on an “as needed” basis.
  • Data entry to maintain sales records and budgetary information for Management.
  • Daily invoicing of orders to finalize production shipments and request payments from customers.
  • Logging various spreadsheets and systems to maintain transparency throughout the organization of all orders and inventory information.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division and/or corporate management team.

Education

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma, a BS/BA degree is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years experience working in inside sales and/or estimating department
  • Experience working in a sales environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing organization preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer systems including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and an ERP system overseeing sales, inventory, etc.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM or mechanical drawing preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
