The Challenge
The Qualtrics brand balances empathy with audacity, pragmatism with possibility, intuition with insight. As we move further into an era in which the experience of content is as important as the content itself, we want the experience of our branded content to be as entertaining and inspiring as it is business-critical and relevant.
To that end, we have stood up an Original-Content Studio within our Marketing team that will be responsible for creating, producing, and distributing relevant, entertaining business content at scale. This content will build brand awareness, drive audience engagement, and inspire audiences around the power of breakthrough experiences. Think Netflix-level entertainment quality meets Harvard Business Review-level business relevance – with stories of Experience at the center.
For these original-content efforts to succeed, we will need to build, execute, measure, and learn from campaigns that meet our audiences where they are. We will need to follow these audiences and understand what is resonating – and where we’ve missed the mark. And we will need to bring together an authentic love for brand with a deep acumen in performance marketing to create and distribute not just what we believe is right, but what we can prove is right. To own this, we are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager (GMM), who will report into our Global Growth Marketing Lead.
We seek a creative and strategically-minded GMM—a leader-doer—to bring brand acumen together with performance-marketing skills to drive awareness and acquire customers. To coordinate and run marketing programs that generate new leads and advance existing opportunities for our sales teams. To leverage multi-touch inbound marketing programs, and to harness and amplify the power of our proprietary distribution platform for the content studio. To build our brand with audiences worldwide while helping us meet and exceed our pipeline and customer acquisition commitments. To partner with Growth Marketing, Brand, Digital, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and Sales on high-quality integrated campaigns for original content across video, audio, and print experiences.
Expectations for Success
- Conceive of creative and practical campaigns for original content (episodic series, short-form documentaries, podcasts, digital-event content, print content)
- Develop campaigns to drive brand awareness and pipeline growth in partnership with conventional channels like email, content marketing, and direct mail, and unconventional channels that push the boundaries of “typical” growth motions
- Work collaboratively with Growth, Brand, Digital, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and Sales to develop and optimize campaigns
- Liaise with other GMMs to ensure calibration of content, audiences, and objectives
- Manage relationships with internal creative team and retained agency partners
- Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of campaign activities on sales pipeline and ACV; continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of campaigns, adjusting demand tactics and strategy accordingly
- Measure campaign impact on brand awareness and brand equities of Qualtrics
- Partner with our digital team to dynamically test and optimize content that will drive ever-improving levels of engagement
Qualifications & Requirements
- You are a creative and strategic thinker who understands how content inspires people and drives behavior
- You have 5-6 years of digital marketing and demand generation experience
- You have a strong understanding of digital marketing and optimization, and sophisticated, hands-on knowledge of multiple marketing channels
- You have strong analytical skills and a proven track record of turning data and information into actionable insights
- You are experimental; someone who is driven by a test-and-learn mindset to iterate on ideas and keep trying new things
- You have created and executed marketing programs through strong internal partnerships, with a focus on Marketing team collaborations
- You want to work in a high-growth environment
- You can assess, prioritize, pivot, and problem-solve across multiple projects
- You have the communication and writing skills for developing and evaluating campaigns, and for presenting hypotheses and results to varying audiences
- You have experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Excel, and Google Sheets
- You are a provocative idea generator
- You believe brand stories are a force for good in the world
- You have tremendous tolerance for ambiguity
- You have strong project management skills, and you take pride in creating top-notch work in the context of a work plan, key milestones, and deadlines
- You have an understanding of resourcing needs, and when to prioritize and delegate
