Door Roller - Day Shift

Quanex is looking for a Door Roller to join our team located in Chehalis, WA.

The salary range for this position is from 19.50/hr - 25.35/hr DOE.

The Door Roller is responsible for working with team members to install screen mesh into patio door screen frames and properly sequencing orders.

What Success Looks Like:

This description represents the most significant job duties but does not exclude other work duties that may be assigned as needed.

• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
• Read build instructions from computer monitor ensuring proper length, type and color of materials.
• Eventual cross training to ensure proficiency in neighboring positions.
• Verify size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system.
• Ensure standard work adherence.
• Apply labels to frame upon completion.
• Properly securing door screen frames to rolling table and applying screen appropriately.
• Visually inspect for defects throughout process.
• Chooses appropriate cloth types according to specification tag.
• Using hand rolling, sharp knife, and pneumatic tools to secure cloth and accessories to frame.
• Sequencing into shipping cart or pallet.
• Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor of potential procedural improvements.
• Meet or exceed the production standards for the position.
• Perform related work as required.
• Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.

What You Bring:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to stand throughout the full shift.
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure air drill, pneumatics fixed straight-cut saw.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
• Ability to perform repetitive work requiring high levels of concentration.
• Must have flexibility to work occasional overtime or additional shift.
• Strict adherence to safety policies.
