To Quant in Nazareth Pennsylvania we are now looking for a Storeroom Manager.
About the job
As a Storeroom Manager you will be responsible for managing storeroom activities in a designated project/contract to ensure, in compliance with QUANT’s guidelines and procedures, the effective and efficient delivery of storeroom activities beyond customer’s expectations. You controls inventory and material from vendors keeping within established department budget, evaluates and sets stock levels and reorder levels for effective inventory management, including analyzing inventory records. You maintains cross-reference system for optimal usage, tracks and updates nonconforming parts, as well as working closely with department managers/supervisors to assure areas stay within budget.
Some of the Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the role:
- Controlling all purchases to maintain the lowest possible inventory levels.
- Sourcing and evaluating vendors who can supply various services or components within a specific time frame.
- Overseeing the follow-up of past due orders and performs activities to reduce POE and invoice grief.
- Establishing and maintaining a cost reduction program, reporting results to department management.
- Assisting Customer Service agents and Operations personnel with system parts transactions.
- Ensuring ISO conformance.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering preferred, competence in Finance & Accounting, understanding of industrial reliability and maintenance techniques and systems and customer needs
- Wide technical competence, preferably reliability & maintenance management related
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience within reliability and maintenance service delivery & management in an industrial environment
- Proven success with leadership, people, and change management
- Experience in service management (e.g., Reliability/Maintenance management)
- Experience in successful implementation of continuous improvement methods (e.g., Six Sigma, RCM, TPM, etc.)
Personal skills you possess are that you are a strategic thinker, team-builder, problem solver who have the ability to build and nurture positive and professional relationships. You have good presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to function well in diverse cross-cultural and multi-country/continent organizational setting.
