As a Technical Trainer, you will manage intricate processes, including training procedures, outbound correspondence, and collaboration with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include overseeing training events, managing documentation, and supporting various training programs, such as the integration of doris (the newly implemented tax system), New Employee Onboarding, and other initiatives.
JOB DETAILS:
- Work Schedule: 3 days in-office per week, with 2 days remote. Additional in-office days may be required based on business needs.
- Full-time in-office: November 2024 – March 2025.
- Duration: Long-term commitment (multi-year).
- Develop DOR-related training content, storyboards, and surveys (Department of Revenue Integrated System (doris), New Employee Onboarding, etc.).
- Provide high-level administrative support to the ERTB Administrative Branch Manager and team members.
- Facilitate and coordinate training events, including room reservations, equipment setup, and participant communication.
- Create and assist in updating internal documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- Develop, update, and proofread outbound correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support the design and facilitation of training sessions, including logistical support and learner assistance.
- Assist in answering training-related inquiries, including those received through the DOR Training mailbox.
- Manage tasks in the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Learning Management System (MyPURPOSE), ensuring precision and adherence.
- Update departmental websites and SharePoint sites with relevant information.
- Train learners using various delivery methods.
- Actively seek and complete professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all federal/Finance and Administration Cabinet (FAC)/DOR rules, policies, and procedures (including, but not limited to, Time and Attendance and Telecommuting policies).
- Manage ERTB purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and tracking.
- Complete other duties as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Forms, Teams).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Responsiveness to virtual communications while working remotely.
- Ability to adapt training approaches to meet the needs of different audiences.
- Experience in designing and delivering training using diverse methods.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles.
- Experience with survey development tools (e.g., Mentimeter).
- Familiarity with course creation platforms (e.g., Articulate 360).
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
- Understanding of IRS Publication 1075 and systems handling Federal Tax Information (FTI).
- Experience with ordering supplies.
