Quanterix is a company that is digitizing biomarker analysis with the goal of advancing the science of precision health. The company’s ultra-sensitive detection solution, Simoa, has the potential to change the way in which healthcare is provided today by giving researchers the ability to closely examine the role of biomarkers in the continuum of health to disease. Quanterix’ technology is designed to enable much earlier disease detection, better prognosis and precise treatment methods to improve the quality of life and longevity of the population for generations to come. The technology is currently being used for research applications in several therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, cardiology, inflammation and infectious disease.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to join our Leadership Team as the General Manager, Europe. This individual will have overall responsibility for execution of the sales strategy across all Quanterix instruments, reagents, and laboratory services in Europe. The ideal candidate has had P&L (Profit & Loss) responsibilities, has led a $50-$100 million (USD) business, and has built strong partnerships with vendors. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the development of a multi-year strategic road map for Europe, including strategic sales plan, key milestones, marketing, products, organization, manufacturing, distribution, resource requirements, partnerships, etc. in collaboration with Commercial Leadership
  • Achieve/exceed direct and indirect revenue plan for region and the overall Commercial organization.
  • Role model leadership with an intense focus on the customer, growth, and organizational development.
  • Defend, win back, and grow share in view of total company.
  • Develop an aligned and focused revenue plan with clear accountability, ownership, and implementation of sales best practices.
  • Create, implement, and develop a strong sales infrastructure inclusive of business intelligence, and activity management.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, KOLs, influencers and other working groups.
  • Drive and forecast predictable revenue quarters with strong year over year growth.
  • Strategy alignment and go to market execution with Quanterix.
  • Identify and secure key partnerships to drive the awareness and market share of the Quanterix total Product Portfolio – Set the foundation for future growth.
  • Lead the team to position, impact, and drive strong growth in key Quanterix markets including Neurology, Oncology/Immuno-oncology, and Infectious disease
  • Direct the activities of the European business, including the development, marketing and sales of its products and services with the objective of maximizing profitability and growth.
  • Create an organizational culture of accountability, teamwork, trust, and transparency.
  • Establish criteria to measure short/long term performance and overall growth, providing monthly and quarterly updates to the Vice President of Sales .
  • Liaise and collaborate with critical suppliers, customers, distributors, etc.
  • Consult/influence local manufacturing and logistics footprint.
  • Maintain an awareness of, and exercises judgment in, such areas as market conditions, organizational excellence, competitive activities, general economic conditions and governmental statutes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quanterix senior leadership team on the development of large-scale collaborations, potential JV’s, and M&A opportunities 

What We’ll Expect From You: 

  • 10 years of experience in the Life Science market in a sales leadership role, as well as a BS in a Life Sciences discipline and MS/PhD preferred
  • A track record of proven success in a Sales Leadership role – ideally in a high growth business
  • Successful experience building and growing a sales organization in Europe
  • A demonstrated ability to build and manage senior level customer relationships
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, motivate and drive individuals and teams both within and outside of your direct organization
  • Proactive approach to organizational strategy with ability to focus both on immediate sales achievement and long-term organizational growth needs.
  • Preferred experience working for a US-headquartered company
  • Must have proven commercial success in a growing, dynamic, fast-paced company
  • Preferred experience managing direct sales and distribution sales in EMEA region.
