Quest Window Systems Inc (“Quest”) is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Quest services clients from all over North America, including major metropolises such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Toronto.

Purpose

This position is responsible to provide support in driving the process of continuous improvement from procurement to product delivery. This position takes a lead role in meeting targets for safety, quality, delivery cost, inventory, customer service and employee satisfaction/development. The Group Manager coaches, trains, supports, and develops a team of flexible, multi-skilled employees in a fast-pace manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing

• Develop a high-performance team with high levels of employee engagement, morale, satisfaction, and performance
• Review general status of production schedules to identify and resolve problems
• Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training requirements in operation, inspection techniques and use of tools/data
• Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation
• Identify process related problems and actively work with leaders and employees to determine and implement corrective action(s)
• Communicate with other group managers and appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, work schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc.

What you will bring along

• Degree in Safety, Environmental or equivalent. Industrial Engineering is a plus
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in an EHS/ Regulatory role within manufacturing and or construction.
• Industry certifications are a plus (CHSO, OHST, ASP, CSP, First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30 hour, LOTO, Confined Space, Hazcom)
• Must be knowledgeable of regulatory requirements and experienced in EH&S Management systems
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal communication, writing, and decision-making skills
• Ability to research and analyze data, arrive at valid conclusions, make recommendations and plan of action
