What you will be doing:
The Instructional Application Analyst will join our talented team at the Athens Area School District. You will be responsible for maintaining all district software platforms that support district instruction and assessment. Strong communication and customer service skills will be required to provide daily technical application support and training for administrators, teachers, and students.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, all software platforms that support district classroom instruction and assessment
- Conducts and coordinates training on the proper use of instructional applications for stakeholders throughout the designated learning environment
- Responsible for troubleshooting all 3rd Tier escalation of instructional application support issues and coordinating with 4th Tier partners as the local liaison for resolution
- Manages assigned help desk ticket queues and prioritization of project work with adherence to established thresholds for response and deadlines
- Establishes connectivity, user enrollment, permissions, security, and functional access to instructional client-server applications as well as private and public cloud enabled services
- Gathers criteria for custom modifications to existing instructional applications and provides analysis and coordination with partners on related projects
- Curates technology-based instructional capability and ensures interoperability between application platforms and classroom endpoints and peripherals
- Contributes to contingency planning and provides procedures to sustain the instructional application lifecycle
- Coordinates with administrative scheduling to provide direct support for online assessment and related testing in the district
- Keeps accurate records of instructional application conventions, deployment footprint, and configuration
- Makes recommendations, develops plans, and spearheads implementation of instructional application upgrades and annual data rollover
- Supports application publishing and cloud migration initiatives
- Generates the specifications for licensing of instructional applications; assists in identifying software needs in preparation of the annual budget
- Remains current with trends in educational technology and offers recommendations to enhance instructional efficiency and innovate in the classroom
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- College degree preferred; high school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience required
- 2 years of experience directly supporting enterprise applications in a medium-sized environment preferred (multi-location, 10 servers, 500 nodes, 500 users)
- Prior K-12 education experience - preferred
- Online Assessment Support - preferred
- Familiarity in supporting applications in a multiple OS environment required (Windows, MacOS, & Chrome)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for both internal and external communications
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory administration and permissions preferred
- Ability to conduct software application training for groups of all sizes
- Understanding of computer and network operations
- Must be able to pass Child Abuse History, Criminal, and Fingerprinting clearances
- This is a full time, benefited position with medical, dental, vision and a 401K with a company match
Salary : $46,000 - $53,000
