About the Role:

This role reports to the VP of Operations. The HR Manager's primary responsibilities are managing all aspects of employee relations, recruiting & retention, compliance, payroll management and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).  The HR Manager will also partner with Leadership and our 3rd party HR partners on HR strategy, compensation, benefits, performance management, learning & development, and other initiatives.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing all aspects of the employee relations process from recruiting, onboarding, performance review, issue resolution, and offboarding.
  • Handling investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and grievances.  
  • Providing counsel to employees and leaders.
  • Implementing and improving processes that create efficiency for employees and leaders.
  • Ensuring strategic HR goals, policies, and programs are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Partnering with individual departments on specific needs and initiatives.
  • Working with our 3rd party HR partners on employee relations issues and initiatives.

 

What you’ll need for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
  • 5 years of experience in an employee facing HR role in a hybrid work environment
  • Proven success in recruiting for small/medium sized business
  • Experience working across multiple functions within an HRIS
  • Experience maintaining information in the payroll system; information may include employee's salaries, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a "go the extra mile" attitude
  • Organized and reliable - able to work independently with little direction when necessary
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote)

 

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Experience working with a fast growing startup SAAS company
  • Experience with Zenefits and Jazz HR
  • Experience with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives
  • SHRM or HRCi Certification
