Maintenance technician

The Opportunity

The purpose of a Maintenance Technician I position is to perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance.

This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Also, we ask that you have familiarity with AC / DC systems and the ability to use a voltmeter.

You will report to the Facilities Area Manager and work onsite in our Fontana, CA fulfillment center.

Who We Are

The maintenance team is responsible for a variety of work streams and projects that allow our campuses to have a comfortable and safe workplace.

The services the department provides range from building maintenance, AV Setup / Installation, guest registration, badges / parking permits, space planning / moves, drawing requests and design, large-scale projects, and café / catering services.

Your Impact

You will perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair.

Perform repairs on dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation.

Equipment Maintenance Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment.

Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical.

Conveyor, Automation and Sorter Systems Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment.

Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.

Electrical Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Follow lock out / tag out policy .

What you Bring

• Read and comprehend technical manuals. Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification or equivalent military technical training with proficiency in at least one trade.
• Trade skills must include electrician, carpenter, pipefitter, air conditioning mechanic, welder, or machine repairer.
• 6 months or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Occasionally be on call or work overtime.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC / DC systems.
• Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
