We are currently seeking to add a talented Floral Designer to our team at R Blooms of Lake Oswego! As a Floral Designer and team member, you will have the opportunity to utilize your artistic skills and create floral arrangements for various occasions and holidays (Must Love Christmas!) We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent customer service and a desire to work in a dynamic environment. Our floral shop and gift boutique has maintained a long-standing reputation for service, style and quality in the Lake Oswego community for over 30 years. Responsibilities:

• Design and create floral arrangements for daily orders, weekly corporate arrangements, and events.
• Professional phone skills and order taking.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and able to make deliveries in company’s vehicles.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and requirements.
• Select the appropriate flowers, foliage, and containers to create designs that are to our client’s standards, budgetary needs and exceeding expectations.
• Retail sales, assisting clients in boutique and operation point of sale software including basic computer skills.
• Some merchandising and switching of seasonal instore displays.
• Maintain inventory of flowers, plants, and supplies
• Ensure the freshness and quality of floral products.
• Processing of fresh flowers, foliage, and plants.
• Provide knowable customer service and offer professional advice on floral selection and care.
• Shipping & receiving of retail products and supplies.
• Keeping workspace, studio and retail space clean and tidy. Including sweeping. Cleaning buckets, leaf blowing and heavy lifting.
• Set up and tear down of events, delivery to commercial accounts, in home holiday décor set up.
• Ability to work entire shift while standing.
• Team player in a creative, fun and positive work environment.
• Flexibility in work schedule in include weekends, some overtime and holidays.

Qualifications:

• 2 years Previous experience as a Floral Designer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Lover of Christmas and all things holiday
• Proficient knowledge of various types of flowers, foliage, and plants
• Strong artistic and design skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, positive and can-do attitude.
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
• Knowledge of color theory and arrangement techniques
• Familiarity with different floral design styles and trends
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy floral arrangements.
