Job Description SUMMARY: The Commercial Technology Consultant Manager for Services and Solutions holds a pivotal role in orchestrating strategic direction aligned with sales plans. This position leads a team of consultants and collaborates closely with the delivery team, including application engineers, quoting teams. By bridging the gap between customer demands and solution delivery, the manager ensures seamless coordination and enhances our market presence. This manager will also be a key liaison between large projects sales team and services and solution teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Commercial Technology Consultant Manager responsibilities will be to encompass: Strategic Direction and Sales Alignment: Formulate and execute strategies to achieve sales plans, aligning services and solutions offerings with evolving customer needs and market trends. Collaborate across departments to translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans that optimize revenue growth and foster meaningful customer engagement. Devise targeted approaches for entering new markets, expanding existing customer relationships, and identifying business opportunities that drive revenue expansion. Team Leadership and Performance Management: Lead and mentor a team of consultants focused on demand generation, solution positioning, and exceptional customer engagement. Foster a collaborative environment, empowering team members to drive results, deliver extraordinary customer experiences, and exceed performance targets. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Coordination with Delivery Team: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between services and solutions consultants and the delivery team. Ensure the efficient transition of opportunities to the delivery team, collaborating to align solution offerings with customer requirements. Oversee project execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery of services and solutions, maintaining stringent quality standards and fostering customer satisfaction. Customer-Centric Approach and Solution Development: Engage directly with customers to deeply understand their unique needs and pain points, translating insights into actionable strategies resonating within the market. Collaborate with services delivery teams to craft tailored solutions addressing specific customer challenges, aligning with our capabilities and delivering exceptional value. Work in close partnership with the sales force and application engineers to position solutions effectively, highlighting their benefits and demonstrating our unique value proposition. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications crucial for success in this role include: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 8 years in technical sales, solutions consulting, or relevant roles within the automation control systems and power systems industry. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture. Customer-Centric Mindset: A keen understanding of customer needs, adept at translating insights into effective strategies and actionable plans.
