Position Summary
Mechanical and electrical maintenance. Works with minimal supervision while executing tasks. Responsible for building and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance of material handling and conveyance equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains facility and equipment for continuous operation and required electrical and mechanical repairs
Installation and repair of conveyor systems including belts, motors, rollers, beds and guides
Operate and maintain all varieties of Material Handling Equipment
Maintaining photo eyes, PLC's, performing estop and system resets
Interface with facility vendors for MHE, conveyance and control systems
General electrical tasks including installing lights, replacing bulbs, re-wire small equipment, move outlets
Cleaning and other preventative maintenance tasks for equipment
General Maintenance and operation of a Shipping Sorter, including; inspection of belts, identify and repair issues causing faults, service and clean the sorter, induction lines and sort trays
Have complete knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the facility
Assist with safety and code compliance as well as all OSHA guidelines
Follow all safety guidelines and work in a safe and alert manner at all times
Perform any and all duties assigned by the Facilities Manager
Qualifications/Experience
High School Diploma or GED. Industrial certification for electrical, mechanical and/or OSHA achievements preferred
Minimum of 2 years in a maintenance technician capacity maintaining and repairing various material handling equipment
