We are looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Medical Receptionist to help patients and customers. Your primary task will be to answer phone calls and book appointments while also doing basic administrative tasks. Our goal is to provide our patients with a pleasant experience at all times. To be successful in this position, be punctual and have an outgoing personality, as you’ll need to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Since communication skills are vital in the medical field, it is important that you are personable.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls ; collect messages and redirect them to the appropriate person.
- Provide information about doctors’ availability, appointment scheduling and patient details to other staff members., including doctors, nurses and other receptionists.
- Inform patients about their wait time.
- Maintain office cleanliness.
- Monitor rooms and alert nurses when their patients are ready.
- Update calendars, schedules appointments.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying transcriptions and faxing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
