- Participates in the development of the hotels sales and marketing strategies for achieving individual and group sales goals.
- Contributes to the quarter action plan of the sales department to ensure success in reaching goals of assigned market segment.
- Achieves individual and team goals within assigned market segments via outside sales calls to existing and new clients to solicit hotel services.
- Prepared proposals geared to maximize profit while satisfying clients needs.
- Follows up on incoming leads to turn into bookings.
- Contacts in-house customers to foster additional business, repeat booking and referrals.
- Document group and individual inquiries on lead sheets and disburse to the appropriate manager.
- Create booking contracts and/or banquet event orders as directed.
- Create and communicate change reports daily.
- Compile and distribute client profiles and maintain ongoing communication regarding client specifications with hotel department heads to ensure that all service-related needs are fulfilled.
- Be fully knowledgeable of hotel services, amenities, capacities and operational systems and process in order to accurately respond to customer questions and requests for information.
- Assure that all incoming and outgoing correspondence is received, mailed, emailed and/or filed as required.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, typing correspondence and reports, filing, and answering phones.
- Assist in organizing site visits; greet and welcome visitors and provide comprehensive tours of guest rooms and public areas.
- Assist Sales Directors in promoting awareness of the property through developing formal presentations and organizing sales calls to local, corporate, association and leisure markets.
- Conduct all client interactions with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism, in keeping with company and brand standards.
- Serve as problem solver in instances of guest dissatisfaction; resolve complaints, concerns or issues in a timely and helpful manner.
- High school diploma and higher education preferred.
- At least one year of sales experience and event planning preferred as well as 6 months hotel experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Excellent organizational, communications, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiating skills.
- Experience with banquet catering, sales process, client base, and general market knowledge.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and desire to participate as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Delphi, Opera, Microsoft Products, E-mail, Social Tables.
- Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the community.
- Must be able to work with a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment of multiple projects, while maintaining a minimal stress level.
- Must possess ability to ensure profitability using persuasive tools and creating the right environment for the interested parties.
- Must present a professional image, through appearance, dialogue, and business practices.

Salary : $40,000 - $42,000
