Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Clinical Informatics promotes the understanding, integration, and application of healthcare information technology in support of clinician/provider objectives, the organization's vision, strategic goals and industry best practices. This position drives the optimal, efficient, and effective use of clinical information systems and technology as it relates to patient care, patient safety, user satisfaction, clinical productivity, and quality outcomes. It serves as a key constituent that bridges the gap between people, process, clinical knowledge, and technology. Is knowledgeable about the clinical process relevant regulatory mandates, and principles of quality/safety improvement. May perform other duties as assigned and directed by the Chief Nursing Officer. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
