RAI Industrial Fabricators, LLC is a single-source steel fabricator and construction firm providing a full range of design, engineering, fabrication and erection services. AISC certified in both fabrication and erection along with our complete in-house capabilities, enables fast response, maximum flexibility and complete coordination of all phases of any project. Our state-of-the-art facility includes sophisticated robotic equipment, in-house detailing, blasting and painting, including finish coatings.
Essential Functions
- Ability to operate shop equipment (i.e. press brakes, band saw, shears)
- Strong welding ability (MIG & TIG) with various types of metals/alloys
- Ability to read and interpret shop prints
- Proven fabrication abilities (strong mathematical and numerical reasoning skills)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Overhead crane experience is a definite plus
- Ability to fabricate handrails and stairs
Requirements
- Prior five (5) years metal fabrication experience
- NDT (MT, UT, RT) Level II or higher preferred
- Candidate must be skilled at reading shop drawings and blue-prints
- Familiarity with welding processes i.e. SMAW, SAW, GTAW, GCAW, etc.
- Candidate must be a team player and have solid communication skills, basic math skills (decimals and fractions) and computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site
- Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions
- Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders
- Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance and stoop, reach on a regular basis
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
