Description
RailPros provides comprehensive consulting services for the rail industry. We specialize in areas of RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training, and media production. As a leader in our industry, RailPros’ projects create long-term value for our clients from concept through operation by providing technical excellence and outstanding services. We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join our growing team to work fully remote.
Our Proposal Manager will lead the proposal response process in a fast-paced, deadline driven, demanding environment. Works directly with the Project Managers to prepare technical solutions.
Primary Duties:
- Leads pursuit strategy sessions with various BD teams and strategizes capture plan
- Reviews RFQ/Ps upon release and prepares a written analysis of the details required for a winning response effort
- Prepares high-quality and persuasive proposals and presentations for multiple concurrent pursuits to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and overall quality standards. Supports development of key messages, including effective coordination with graphics.
- Works directly with Project Managers to prepare technical sections, including comprehensive and accurate editing and proofreading of technical material
- Creates and maintains library of qualification statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven, and demanding environment
- Occasionally, overtime (evenings and weekends) may be required to meet strict deadlines and to provide the best quality work product.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience reading and responding to RFPs
- Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop (intermediate to advanced level skill)
- Strong proofreading/editing skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive mindset and “can-do” attitude!
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments, in meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of civil engineering or A/E industry terminology and delivery methods
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience working in Marketing, Business Development, Proposals, or Graphics department at an A/E/C firm is strongly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Familiarity/past experience with Deltek/Ajera highly desirable
