RailPros is a leading industry expert in RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training, and media production. Our projects deliver exceptional value and technical expertise, from concept to operation. We are hiring multiple (RWIC) Roadway Workers In Charge across different locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Quick decision-making based on field situations
- Demonstrating dedication to the Company, client, and public
- Upholding honesty, integrity, and maturity under constant video surveillance
- Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to dress code
- Adhering to schedules and fulfilling commitments to the client
- Pre-arranging scheduled time off to minimize conflicts.
- Clear, professional, and authoritative communication with mobile work group and vehicle operators
- Maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure and potential emergencies
- Accurate comprehension and following of directions, including radio communication
- Ability to work outdoors on irregular surfaces and in all weather conditions
- Ability to hear warning signals and radio telephone devices
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
- Other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.
Who YOU are:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Minimum of 1 year of railroad experience
- Preference given to candidates with a background in military, law enforcement, fire & emergency medical, or related occupations
- Prior construction experience with compliance to OSHA regulations or equivalent
- Previous shipyard experience
- Consideration for candidates with crafts or trades experience requiring additional training to gain desired skills mentioned above.
Education, Certification, and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of Roadway Worker Protection Training
- Completion of pre-employment background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Full vaccination is mandatory for employment.
