Job Description

The purpose of this meeting is to identify the Rolls and Responsibilities for the Warehouse Manager Position with SMT Packaging-LLC.

Warehouse/Production Manager Job Responsibilities:

Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; hiring, training and supervising staff.

Warehouse/Production Manager Job Duties:

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Complies with client, federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Completes and verifies payroll weekly in accordance with company policy, transmits payroll weekly on Monday’s and submit to Beanstalk Accounting Services, with a cc to Dan Taylor CFO, SMT Packaging-LLC

Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Complete Ecommerce Responsibility for Managing and Executing in timely, cost effective manner.

Warehouse Manager Skills and Qualifications:

· Supervision, Developing Budgets, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Judgment

· Hire and Train Factory Staff

· Interviewing and selecting candidates. Train new hires on policies and procedures.

· Delegate Tasks to Staff as Necessary

· Walk the warehouse floor to make sure all employees are performing their assigned tasks. This involves keeping employees’ content and motivated

· Create and Enforce Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures

· Develop a standard quality control process and ensuring factory employees work to established standards.

· Create and Implement Machine Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures

· Ensure factory equipment is running at optimal efficiency. Create a maintenance procedure for every machine and ensure factory employees follow this procedure regularly

· Analyze Factory Production Data and Devising Improvement Strategies as Necessary

· Establish key production metrics, analyzing this data, identify and address dips in production before they become major issues.

· Create Production Data Reports and Present them to Senior Management

· Create production reports based on their data analysis. Present these production reports to Senior Executives on Wednesday strategy meetings on a regular basis.

· Problem solvers with an analytical mind and a strong attention to detail.

· Expertise in the equipment and production process of their specific manufacturing niche.

· Proficiency with spreadsheets to analyze production data and create reports to be presented to decision makers

· Evaluate the talent of new hires and training them on policies and procedures

· Inspect the quality of finished products to check on employee, machine and operator efficiency

· Delegating operation, quality control, and maintenance tasks to employees

· Analyzing production data and making strategic recommendations to decision makers

· Maintaining a content and motivated workforce through interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills

· Participate in the bid process for new clients/jobs

Expected start date: 02/07/2022

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
