The User Acquisition team is responsible for acquiring new consumers for Rakuten Viki. The ideal candidate for this role has an expert level understanding of SEO, is deeply analytical and is a great program manager who can collaborate with technical teams to increase our organic SEO traffic to bring the magic of Viki to lovers of Asian entertainment around the world. The role will work collaboratively with engineering, product, creative, content and legal departments across geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for organic traffic enhancement for Viki which means conducting a mix of heavy tech focused and content optimizations.
Craft a SEO strategy and execute it to improve the organic rankings and search traffic across Viki’s website for various global, multi-lingual markets
Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on SERP rank, traffic, engagement, and conversions
Complete technical SEO audits and see through the execution of tech improvements
Work with Viki’s tech team to fix technical issues such as internal redirects, 404 errors, internal linking enhancements etc
Assist in large-scale redesigns from an SEO perspective and troubleshoot complex SEO challenges
Provide structured data markup direction, build XML sitemaps and robot.txt files to improve crawl performance, identify page speed shortcomings and providing direction to remedy
Ongoing keyword research and competitive analysis to identify and discover new targeting keywords and explore content strategy
Executing strategies for content development and landing pages in coordination with SEO goals and best practices
Measure and communicate growth in organic channels as a result of SEO efforts
Keep up-to-date on new and trending SEO and digital marketing methodologies.
Contribute to company-wide best web development practices as it relates to SEO
Requirements:
5 years of technical SEO experience optimizing Single Page Applications and JavaScript-based websites.
3 years of project management in a cross-functional capacity.
Experience managing SEO for enterprise and/or large B2C website
Advanced knowledge of SEO guidelines, best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking strategies
Technical SEO experience Proficiency in web development languages (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
Proficiency with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
Strong experience using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Botify, DeepCrawl, Google Analytics (Including GA4), Google Tag Manager, & others
Advanced knowledge of schema.org and JSON-LD
In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms, up-to-date techniques, ranking factors, and principles for sound web development
Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working with content teams to create the required content for SEO improvement and ensuring that it is SEO friendly. Ability to do basic copywriting as and when required.
Can work independently across multiple stakeholders to achieve the goals and get things done
