Medical Records Clerk
Processes Medical records requests for authorized person, insurance companies, court proceedings, specialists and facilities. Ensures that only the authorized person receives records and signs requests when releasing to a third party. Documents in the patient chart all requests for records upon receiving the requests and when the request is complete. Logs when we receive records from other offices or facilities. Schedules appointments when needed. Works cooperatively as a member of the medical home team. Maintains strict HIPPA compliance, patient confidentiality. Works cooperatively with our HIPPA officer and compliance officer to ensure that all standards and guidelines are being followed when releasing PHI.
Some computer knowledge required. High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred. Office experience or customer service experience preferred but not required. Good communication skills and customer service skills required. Strong organizational skills. Ability to display professionalism and efficiency while working with a team in a large high volume medical practice.
Full time position Mon-Fri. Must be Covid vaccinated.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees must be Covid vaccinated. Masks are required. Shields and gowns are provided for face to face contact with patients. Screening questions are asked prior to patients appointments. Work surfaces are cleaned frequently.
