Foam Molding

For 60 years the Ralph S Alberts Company has been a leader in the custom molding industry serving a variety of industries. We are growing and expanding our production to cater to even more industries and are looking to add dependable employees to our highly skilled team!

In the Foam department, you will be responsible for building the skills necessary to thrive in one of our 13 fast-paced production work centers within the department. You will work with small hand and pneumatic tools to assemble, disassemble, and maintain the tools that create our products. The Foam department works Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Overtime will be required as needed for production. Many positions require a respirator fitting in this department! Please keep in mind you may have to be clean shaven for these positions!!

Don’t have manufacturing experience? No problem!Positions at Ralph S. Alberts do not require previous manufacturing experience although familiarity with basic hand tools is helpful. We are looking for employees with a strong work ethic who are open to learning a unique process.

A typical day will include:

• Safely operating small hand and pneumatic tools, working with various sizes and types of hardware, and applying hazardous and non-hazardous solvents
• Cleaning and preparing molds for future processing
• Assembling molds and required armatures
• Disassembling and removing cured parts from molds
• Utilizing and reading hand-held gauging instruments, tape measure, calipers, or other quality and measuring devices to evaluate and visually inspect parts for durometer and surface defects, ensuring conformance to part specifications, indicating non-conforming parts areas requiring rework
• Lifting and maneuvering molds and armatures that may reach or exceed 50 lbs. in weight from floor to waist height; (assistance from others is available for handling molds or armatures exceeding 50 lbs. in weight)
• Reading and following standard work instructions on the job router to ensure conformance to part specifications, ensuring any/all department information centers are kept up to date with proper information.
• Using production driven software on computers to move parts and view shop orders
