Joining Ramboll
Our group consists of energetic, caring individuals who are passionate about helping Ramboll's clients tackle their most challenging problems related to climate change and sustainability. The Sustainability Group consults with clients across various industries on a range of topics, using technical analyses to inform our client's sustainability approach in areas as varied as: climate risk evaluation; climate action planning; climate adaptation planning; carbon strategy; corporate sustainability initiatives; and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of climate modeling and other hazard datasets to characterize present-day and future risks to the built environment
- Supporting facility-level risk and impact assessments of climate hazards such as sea level rise, extreme heat, and wildfire
- Developing approaches for evaluating climate risk and resilience tailored to individual client needs
- Performing research and analysis on site-level and regional vulnerability and adaptation planning initiatives
- Actively participating in a growing network of Ramboll sustainability practitioners that span our services across climate, sustainability, environment/health, energy, and water.

- Minimum B.S. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, environmental, chemical) or relevant science discipline (climate science, environmental science, geology, chemistry, or physics).
- Proficiency with computer programming and data analysis with Python or similar languages
- Excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. in relevant science or engineering discipline
- Demonstrated experience with geospatial analysis using GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS, Esri, ArcGIS), spatial databases (e.g., spatiaLite, postGIS), and/or Python
- Proficiency with multidimensional data analysis in Python (e.g., using the pandas, numpy, and/or xarray libraries) or similar languages
- 1-3 years of experience in climate risk or impact modeling
- Knowledge of regulations, guidance, and policy related to climate risk and adaptation

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $63,000 and $78,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
