Ramp Health is currently looking to hire a full-time position to service our clients located in Westlake, TX

Ramp Health, the pioneer, largest, and most experienced national provider of the uniquely powerful on-site coaching delivery model, is looking to hire a Full Time Nationally Registered Paramedic to join us on-site to service our client’s health, wellness, and injury prevention needs. While on-site with your client, you will work one-on-one with employees, coaching them to improve lifestyle behaviors related to injury prevention and management. As a Paramedic in this role, you will continuously evaluate employee conditions, injuries, and illnesses, conduct diagnostic tests and exercises, and communicate these results with medical professionals

Position Summary:

  • Provide injury prevention, education, and first response to all injuries, illnesses, and incidents, providing treatment to employees on an individual or group basis to enhance the quality of life and safety of the individual.
  • Incident triage and basic first aid for minor onsite injuries on the construction site
  • Utilize Coaching directed towards the human aspect of wellness, emphasizing personal motivation to improve behaviors, education, and awareness of injury prevention and safety.
  • First Response to all injuries/illnesses/incidents
  • Incident triage
  • Administration of drug screening program
  • Administration of Tetanus
  • Administration of Flu Shots or Vaccines (As Requested)
  • Coordination with local EMS (Emergency Medical Services) agencies
  • Assist with EH&S (Environmental Health and Safety) with Claims
  • Management – Initial to Close of Claim
  • If necessary, escort the employee to the Occupational Clinic and assist with the Claim.
  • Follow up with the Injured Worker to ensure that all restrictions are being met.
  • Maintaining a log of all incidents on the project.
  • Assists the EHS team in creating and implementing Health Promotion
  • Programming, including site-wide or company challenges workshops.
  • Promotes and leads Mental Health First Aid Team meetings and communications.
  • Attends/Leads stretches and mindful movement sessions during Stretch and Flex
  • Provide informational signage and resources for site-wide key dates for
  • wellness activities and monthly initiatives.
  • Works one-on-one with individuals to deliver health behavior coaching.
  • Participates in the onsite safety team meetings and supports the internal
  • safety program.
  • Attends site-specific meetings.
  • Setup/conduct/facilitate Health and Wellness Outreach, which should include:
  • Checking / Monitoring / Education of Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose Levels,
  • Cholesterol, BMI, Hyper/Hypotension
  • Provide education on smoking cessation
  • Coaching of Healthy Eating Habits
  • Wellness Newsletter

Tabling Events

  • To create a culture of safe material handling, stretching programs, education, and
  • body mechanics training, and early intervention services to address sprain/strain
  • discomfort.
  • Conduct health surveys
  • Identify ‘high-risk’ populations and tasks and assess them in conjunction with safety
  • professionals, supervisors, and employees to target known issues and lower risk
  • through ergonomics, education, coaching, and strategic implementation of safety
  • procedures.
  • Deliver dynamic, engaging, and effective stretches weekly in a mass setting.
  • Create and deliver unique trade-specific or body part-specific stretching programs in
  • small group settings, introducing mobility tools, addressing high-risk tasks or
  • populations, and providing education.
  • Meet one-on-one with individuals to address musculoskeletal issues and create a
  • thorough plan for addressing work and non-work-related musculoskeletal issues.
  • Engage and follow up with individuals in their work environment.
  • Document and track metrics
  • Support and promote site-wide initiatives in collaboration with Wellness Teams
  • Attend regular safety meetings and events as required.
  • Provide service overview during orientation.
  • Spread awareness and promote a culture that supports mental well-being.
  • Provides ongoing education for leadership, safety teams, and Mental Health first-aiders

Help employees set goals, answer questions, and provide guidance and ongoing support through our proprietary coaching process.

Participate in ongoing training in coaching methodology and psychology as part of our “best-in-class” coaching skill set development program.

Requirements:

  • Nationally Registered Paramedic
  • First aid and CPR certification is required
  • Demonstrated time management skills, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional verbal skills and ability to meet, greet, speak, and positively represent.
  • Outgoing and personable, able to work independently, and must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

Nice to Have:

  • 1 years prior experience in the construction/manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office and EMR/SOAP data entry is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time up to 48 hours a week, M-Sa 6AM-3PM

Salary: $35 per hour

Signing Bonus: $1,000 after 90 days of employment
