Responsibilities
- Analyzes specifications, sets up and operates machine tools, fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges in respect to standard metalworking and die design practices.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Responsibilities include initiating recommendations involving continuous improvements of measures to improve methods, equipment/ tooling performance, and quality of work.
- Confers with assigned tool & die lead-person responsible for their workmanship or shift supervisor, to coordinate activities and advise any change in completion status of assigned work.
The essential functions of this role include:
