In this role, you'll manage customer shipments from planning to delivery, ensuring both domestic and international compliance. **Skills & Qualifications:** - Proficiency in both written and spoken English; Spanish proficiency is a plus - College degree is preferred but not mandatory. - Organizational and management abilities. - Effective problem-solving skills.
salary: $19 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 6 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing exceptional service.
- Address and resolve inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Plan shipments considering factors like destination, route, rate, delivery time, and carrier dispatch.
- Create and manage files detailing shipment specifics such as purchase orders, booking information, container size, temperature, and sail dates
. - Confirm and reconcile shipped merchandise by cross-referencing bills of lading and identifying any discrepancies.
- Update customers on any received product discrepancies like damage, shortages, or overages.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to trace, clear, and release cargo at port facilities.
- Communicate with carriers to address and resolve any arising issues.
- Handle multiple on-hand reports and ensure regular submission of accurate reports.
- Report and document any irregularities to supervisory staff immediately.
- Undertake other relevant duties as needed.
