Knowledge of World Wide EMC Standards
- Knowledge and understanding of the test requirements of GR-1089-CORE Standard.
- Knowledge and understanding of the test requirements including but not limited to:
- ANSI
- CISPR
- IEC
- ETSI
- BSMI
- VCCI
- Review the Test Assessment Plan (TAP) submitted by project managers.
- Ensure all relevant World Wide requirements are applied and will be tested to
- Complete the EMC online training modules with a score of >50% in all the relevant disciplines.
- Ensure that your training records are up to date and that they are relevant*
- Report Errors or discrepancies in training to the EMC technical lead.
- Ensure that you have adequate training prior to using any EMC test equipment (Level 1 and higher).
- Be aware and adhere to of all the relevant safety and environmental conditions for the test equipment
- Ensure all relevant fittings, adaptors and cables that are part of the test setup are stored with the test setup after you have finished testing.
- Perform confidence checks and record results for all tests at the time of test.
- If any issues are found with the equipment ensure that the equipment is taken out of service in accordance with the Quality system.
- Before performing a test ensure that the training Matrix indicates that you are qualified to perform the test. If you are not at least a level 1 you cannot use the equipment.
- If you are a level 1 in a particular discipline and have been assigned to perform a formal test ensure you have your test setups and results verified by a mentor (Level 3). Ensure the mentor is recorded in the eRAT comments.
- Perform all testing in accordance with the EMC test procedures.
- Record data using the eRAT job logging system at the time of test.
- Be able to Write and review test reports using eRAT
