Are you a self-starter but also great in a team setting with superb attention to detail? Global electronics company in the Richardson Area seeking fiber optic assemblers and testers to join our team on 1st shift! Must be able to work with little instruction, able to follow details, and troubleshoot.

The Fiber Optic Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing optical assemblies and fibers to very tight tolerance requirements with minimal supervision using work instructions, drawings and specifications.

salary: $17 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
education: High` School

Responsibilities

• Electro-Mechanical assembly of custom test fixtures and various styles of test equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and customer specifications.
• Electrical wiring of test fixtures, 19" rack mount cabinets and control panels.
• Custom cable assembly using various OEM contact crimp tooling.
• Assembly, cabling and wiring custom 19” rack mount cabinet test stand.
• Ensuring a high level of quality in all phases of production.
• Ensure products and components work consistently and correctly.
• Familiarity with testing and quality assurance procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 40lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
