Finance Internship

This position is a great entry level opportunity for Seniors in college to gain exposure to the brokerage industry with potential for full time employment upon graduation. While this program is within the Finance industry, students of all backgrounds will be considered. The primary skills needed are an open mind to new experiences, a passion for helping others, a desire to exceed client service expectations, and an interest in learning more about the Financial Services industry.

Hours: 20 hours a week Pay: $19/hr (Weekly pay through Randstad) Schedule: 

• Mon & Wed 8am - 4:30pm, Fri 8am - 12pm 
• Tues & Thurs 8am - 4:30pm, Fri 8am – 12pm

Opportunity: Main objective for all of our interns is to achieve a temp to perm opportunity with Charles Schwab.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, real-time support to Charles Schwab or TD Ameritrade clients via inbound phone calls in a fast-paced, market-sensitive environment.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to provide the highest level of client service
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, mentors and management
• through both verbal and written correspondence
• Work as a member of a high-caliber team to solve problems
• There will be weekly Roundtable meetings. What does that look like? Gathering with groups of leadership from different lines of business. The managers/directors will share what their career path has looked like and allow for Q&A with the students. This gives the students exposure and a better understanding to many different groups. 
• Capstone Project  - you will work as a group to find something they believe could be improved regarding the system, process, program, etc. and share with the group
