Industrial Engineer Co-op Fall-23

In partnership with a major Life Science organization we are seeking an undergraduate studying an Engineering discipline. This will be a 6-month Co-op opportunity, starting July 5th through end of December. The majority of the work will be completed on-site in the Danvers, MA facility.  This company is the North American life science brand of a large Germany based biotech/biopharma organization– a leading science and technology company. It offers a broad range of innovative products and services to biotech and pharmaceutical drug therapies businesses. salary: $24 - $28 per hour

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, help with revision of labor standards, perform sequence analysis, and balance the workload to TAKT time
• Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes to identifying value-added and nonvalue-added activities
• Apply industrial engineering and quality concepts to identify potential improvements to manufacturing process
• Develop current and future state maps for product lines
• Support analysis on the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
• Develop visual controls and visual aids to ensure compliance in production
• Work with cross-functional teams to acquire a better understanding of processes
• Design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
• Evaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to performance metrics.
• Summarize and present project updates to leadership on a regular basis
