What do we expect from you as an IT Manager?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS (Management information systems)
- 5 years of experience working with business IT infrastructure and/or end-user support, networks, and computing.
- Experience with Citrix VDI environments. Knowledge of Nutanix servers. Experience SCCM experience (Imaging and patching)
- Good supervisory skills; proven management experience in the IT arena including projects
- Experience with help desk functions; ability to fulfill IT program requests supporting and resolving systems and user issues
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Spanish communication is a plus
- Manages, motivates, coaches, and works with staff to accomplish Company and department objectives; completes performance reviews promptly; interviews candidates; arrange for in-house or external training for staff as needed
- Functions as project manager for assigned IT projects; develops request for proposals; requests bids/quotes for projects and equipment; reviews completed bids and quotes; makes recommendations; oversees operations related projects
- Manages and supports the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including networks, data centers, servers, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware; conducts system feasibility studies and testing
- Identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports cost-effective technology solutions for the organization; orders products from appropriate vendors; negotiates vendor contracts as required
- Implements global functional policies and procedures, including those for architecture, standards, purchasing, and service provisions
- Establishes maintenance schedules for network and systems equipment; works with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations
- Analyzes existing operations; recommends improvements to and growth of infrastructure and IT systems
- Develops business case justifications and cost /benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives; practices solid asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
- Attends management meetings as required; represents division to global technical/IT forums
- Conducts research; remains current with the latest technologies and solutions
- Ensures efficient optimization of IT resources; oversees reports and documentation related to network and system operations
- Establishes and maintains regular communications with management and end users regarding pertinent IT activities
- Assists in the provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
- Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position
