We are seeking an analytical and systems orientated Logistics Manager to lead U.S. warehouse operations, transportation, and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) implementation. Critical to the success of this role is the ability to plan and integrate a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and transportation management system (TMS) into our ERP and the ability to achieve defined performance goals.
salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operations, employee development, staffing, and special projects of the logistics and import/export departments.
- Works with the teams to determine and implement best practices, proper recordkeeping, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Negotiates price and service with UPS, FedEx, and other freight companies.
- Manages government trade relations, operations, regulations, and permitting for inbound, outbound, and intercompany freight clearances and compliance. Government agencies include (but not limited to) U.S. Customs and Border Protection, SAT, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, USDA, SEMARNAT, and CITES.
- Works with the accounting, purchasing, and warehouse departments for close coordination on import/export taxes, invoice verification, freight movements, and other duties as needed.
- Produce recommendations and reports on service provider changes, changes in government regulations, overall costs and cost reductions, and process improvements.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic goals.
