Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and repairs of production and process equipment, for the facility and/or utility equipment (Mechanical and electrical). Evaluate and recommends equipment improvements to increase availability, capability and yield. This position must adhere to all SOPs, cGMPs, and plant quality, safety, and documentation systems requirements. Other related duties essential to these operations or special assignments as required. Read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics. Operate small hand and power tools in a safe manner. Mechanics are able to operate independently and with minimal supervisor.

salary: $65,000 - $92,000 per year

Responsibilities

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws. 

Performs routine preventative maintenance on production/facilities machinery according to PM schedules 

Performs general maintenance including welding and electric; fabricates and installs parts when necessary, and documents all repair or maintenance work done on any equipment. 

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment. 

Perform other miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned by supervisor. Troubleshoots and repairs facilities, equipment and/or systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic circuits. (Motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers and water system). 

Performs building (plumbing and carpentry) and equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools and multiple electrical circuit troubleshooting with a volt-ohm meter.
