Mechanical Assembler

salary: $17 - $19 per hour

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for safe, accurate, and effiecient assembly of mechanical parts using a variety of tools and equipment to build compressors or other sub-assemblies at required standards. Will be required to perform repetitve tasks on a standing production line for long periods of time. 

Job Functions: 

- Assemble units using standard hand and power tools to include air-powered tools by reading from schematics, drawings, and diagrams.

- Study and interpret drawings, assembly instructions, and/or standard work instructions to accurately assemble components. 

- Position or align components for sub-assembly, assembly, manually or using hoists. 

- Determine if all parts are present; communicate to immediate supervisor the status of needed parts to produce units. 

- Maintain work environment in accordance with Lean 5S standards and perform tasks in accordance with company safety procedures. 

- Rotate through other production lines to assist where needed. 



The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
