Picker-packer

An order picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from storage locations to fulfill customer orders. This role involves using various equipment, such as pallet jacks and handheld scanners, to retrieve items and assemble orders according to specifications. The order picker also plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

salary: $16 - $16.5 per hour

Responsibilities

• Review order lists and pick tickets to determine items and quantities required for each order.
• Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move and transport materials.
• Navigate through the warehouse to locate and retrieve products from designated storage locations.
• Inspect items for quality and accuracy, ensuring they match order specifications.
• Accurately record and update inventory information using handheld scanners or computer systems.
• Assemble customer orders by correctly packing items in appropriate packaging or containers.
• Verify order accuracy and completeness before sending orders for further processing.
• Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
