job summary:

Under the limited supervision of the Information Technology Director as a member of the cross-functional Digital team, the Web Developer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing applications developed in house, customizing commercial off-the-shelf solutions, and refining related processes and procedures used across the agency.
WHS has an immediate need to migrate web applications from one data center to another, this role will aid in that work. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing our web applications. The primary focus will be on front-end development, ensuring that our websites are user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive on multiple devices. The Web Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user experiences across a range of technologies.

responsibilities:
- Front-End Development: Create and maintain visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces for C# and .NET applications, WordPress websites, and PHP-based solutions.
- User Experience (UX) Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design mockups and wireframes, ensuring an optimal user experience.
- Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure seamless functionality and appearance across different web browsers.
- Mobile Responsiveness: Develop mobile-friendly web solutions, optimizing user experience on smartphones and tablets.
- Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for website performance, including page load times and overall speed.

- Implement best practices and operational standards in support of core organizational functions
- Confer with Chief Information Officer, Digital Team leads, Project Management Office (PMO), and other representatives of departments to prioritize development
- Development of technical documentation and subsequent revisions
- Development of operational documentation and application training for personnel
- Provide regular status updates to PMO and stakeholders on Development
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- strong expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET. Experience with WordPress and PHP. Knowledge of web development best practices and SEO principles.
