responsibilities:
- Conduct and/or oversee product development projects from inception to production.
- Prepare contract submittals per DIDs and MIL-SPEC requirements.
- Conducts product failure analysis and defines appropriate corrective action
- Provides guidance to junior engineers and designers; reviews and approves work
- Participates in brainstorm sessions to help offer new ideas, solutions for other engineers
- Supports production department in resolving problems with existing manufacturing processes
- Works with suppliers to clarify engineering drawing issues
- Performs analysis of electro-mechanical assemblies
- Provides sustaining engineering support for legacy product lines
- Coordinates internal/external design reviews with customers
